Note from Stevens Ranch...2010
Once again we have a beautiful group of lambs. We are very pleased with them. Your rams have done an exceptional job, and we appreciate having been able to buy such an outstanding threesome. We had 40+ sets of triplets again this year, has made for some very long days and nights—but the bottle feeding is almost over, and the majority of them fit right in with all the rest. So it is worth the time and effort to monitor what they eat. I am anxiously waiting to see pictures of your ram lambs, do hope they are not all spoken for yet, as we are needing one or possibly two that we can put on the ewes that we retained out of your rams. I saw that you purchased a new ram last year—so maybe one of his? Hope all is well out your way. It has been a long cold winter here with lots of snow and wind. It is now beginning to look like spring; the past couple of days have been in the high 60’s. So there is hope for some green grass—my ewes are getting anxious for it!!!!!!!!! Happy spring, Sincerely, Gail Stevens

My lambing is over!! We used 670 on almost all the ewes. Have only 3 sets of twins from Traveler. The lambs are beautiful. I am pleased with the out come and over all quality. The lambs are on the average larger and have heavier bone. Their heads have been improved. Over all we have a tremendous lamb crop. Three singles, one set of triplets and the rest were twins. I only had to help one ewe because the first lamb had his head twisted side ways. He was dead but saved the twin, the ewe with triplets laid on one the first night, and one lamb looked like the ewe didn't tend it. So only 3 deaths. I am very pleased about how the rams are growing out. Traveler is taller than Utility but not carrying the muscling. Wishing you the fortunate lambing that I have had. Your Friend, Gail

I just wanted to let you know 09-680 (Jack Pot) has worked out very well for us! We ran him with eleven ewes in the fall and he sired twenty-one lambs (eleven ewe lambs and ten ram lambs). He has definately added height and length to the lambs. Jack Pot has also continued to grow! We're planning to take some of his lambs to the Ohio Suffolk Sale in May and we're looking forward to showing his lambs later this year. Thanks Again, Jeff Bollinger

Lambed 60+ ewes had 35 sets of triplets--3 sets of quads, 4 singles and the rest twins have 27 bummies that I bottle feed--so you know how most of my day goes.
The lambs look wonderful, Donna most of them are long long full of muscle lambs--and your rams wonderful ears complimented our ewes, the majority of
the lambs have gorgeous heads. I will better be able to tell you about each
rams lambs as they get a little older, but 645s lambs are very flashy. 640 and 637s lambs I believe are carrying the most muscle. But, I am so very pleased with your boys. I have several ewe lambs that are to die for. Your rams are looking great and growing to be very big men ...They will be glad to sheared and get out on some green grass. 645 thinks he is pretty wise...always lets me know that he
could hit me if he wanted to. 637 is the most friendly and 640 kind of stand offish. But all in all they are very sweet.
Thanks again Donna for allowing us to buy three such great rams..We appreciate it very much.
Happy spring.
Gail
